During the course, for the example about the GMOs you said T = Emperical_Mean - 0.9 is the test statistic but in the definition of the test statistic we need to know the law of T. In this case we need to divide by the s.e of the Emperical_Mean to know the law. Why sometimes we take T with a law (slides 13-14-15) and sometimes we have a just T = X - Value (slides 6-9).
