I was wondering if you are going to upload exercises for us to practice for the next test on Thursday. I think you said so but just to make sure I am writting this question.
Here is what is expected for the next test (= a practical exercise):
- know how to define the log-likelihood in standard one-parameter models (Bernoulli, Poisson, exponential, etc...)
-know how to compute the log-likelihood with python (models specified in scipy/statmodels,...)
- know how to find the MLE with a numerical algorithm and to comment on the results (numerical convergence of the algorithm)
- know how to represent graphically the data and the fitted model,
- know how to check that the model fitting is acceptable
